With seeds, should I wait or can you plant in any type of weather? I know with plants and cuttings it should be cloudy and not windy, but does this still apply to seeds? Please help!

I want to plant a flower garden in the front of my house. My problem is that the spot that I want to garden gets a lot of rain because of the run-off from the roof. This is the only spot that I can put a flower bed for the front of my house. Any ideas on some flowers that are easy to grow?

- Hand-blown glass watering globes are a simple solution to keeping your plants healthy
- Since the stake remains in the soil the plant roots will actually grow around the stake and use water more efficiently
- Water level is visible through the globe even at a distance, so you’ll know exactly when to add water
- Designed to water an average-sized plant, these can be used indoors or on a deck or porch
- Each globe set contains a 5-inch Plant Nanny stake and a globe that holds approximately 12 ounces of water

Lately I’ve been at home bored when I’m not at work and I want something to do to keep my occupied, so I was thinking of planting some flowers. What kind of flowers are good to plant during the summer months (considering the hot weather and such). I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth are of Texas if that helps. They will be in the shade of a tree but at some point during the day might get direct sunlight. I want colorful flowers but am not sure which will work… Thanks!

I remember reading years ago about some plants where the plant grows and makes seeds, then the seeds grow and a plant that looks unrelated grows from the seeds. Then the new plant will grow and make seeds which grow into the plant that you started with. Can anyone please tell me what these plants are called, and where could I find information about them?
